When it comes to your home, it’s common to dream about the perfect space — whether it’s that cozy velvet living room sofa you’ve been eyeing, or that new reclaimed wood dining table that will look so good with the whole family around it over the holidays.

But what about those times when it’s not easy to visualize your dream, or when you have too many options? That can happen when shopping for many home upgrades, especially a new door. Every home has them, but with so many different styles, colors and materials to choose from, it can be hard to determine which one will be just right for your space.

But now, with our Door Visualizer, your dream door is just a few clicks away. It’s a useful tool if you’re on the fence about a specific door, or completely unsure what will be the best fit for your home. We’ve made it easy for you to experiment with different doors and see how they’ll look — before making a purchase.

Awe-Inspiring AR

Choosing the right door is a big decision. Even if you’re working with a designer, you deserve to have control over your home’s look and feel. Our Door Visualizer uses augmented reality to let you see how all of our interior and exterior door styles, colors and materials will look in your actual living space.

Why Visualizing Works

Read over the five main benefits of door visualization:

  • You get to experiment freely. Test out any combination of looks without the need to order a pile of color swatches and material samples.
  • You'll make informed design decisions. Visualizing helps ensure that the doors you choose match the style and flow of your home.
  • You can save time and money. Eliminate unnecessary trips to the store and prevent expensive mistakes by seeing the door in your space virtually first, so you’re not surprised later.
  • You can tailor the experience to your home. Make decisions and customize your door options based on the unique characteristics of your space. From there, you can assess how those different doors affect your room’s dynamics. For example, a solid core door might enhance privacy, but result in less natural light flowing from your office into the hallway. However, a door with glass panels could offer less privacy while still letting some natural light flow between spaces.
  • You can purchase with confidence. With our Door Visualizer, you can remove doubt from your decision-making process. When it’s time to buy, you’ll know you’ve made the right choice.

Visualize Door Configurations

The Door Visualizer gives you access to all of our door configurations, including interior solid core doors with customizable colors, barn doors that you can view in augmented reality to assess their fit in your space, and interior wood doors with options for species, stain and glass.

You can also explore exterior fiberglass doors in a variety of styles, finishes, colors and clear or textured glass options. If you prefer wood, our exterior wood doors also come with the choice of species, stain and glass configuration choices to perfectly fit your home.

Depending on the door you select, choose configurations like specie, stain, finish, color, and glass (clear or textured options). For exterior doors, you can also view a single or double door, or view sidelites on one or both sides of the door.

How To Use the Door Visualizer in 3 Steps

Getting started with the Masonite Door Visualizer is simple. Follow these steps and you’ll be on your way to designing your dream door.

1. Pick a Door, Any Door

Start by navigating our website. You can browse both interior and exterior doors by category to find the style that matches your vision.

If you’re not sure what kind of door you want, you can visit our Design Your Door quiz. You’ll be asked a few quick questions about what kind of door you’re looking for, and, from there, you’ll be taken to a list of doors that match your desired look.

2. Customize, Customize, Customize

Once you’ve found a door you love, it’s time to customize! Test out different materials, colors and glass options to see what you’re vibing with the most. Different door styles come with their own unique configuration options, so be sure to check out as many as you can.

3. See It in Your Space

After customizing your door, hit the Visualize” button in the top left corner to enter our augmented reality experience.

If you’re on your phone, you’ll be prompted with an instruction screen. Once you’ve read that, hit the View Door” button at the bottom of the page and get started!

If you’re on your computer, you’ll be prompted with a QR code. Scan the code with your phone camera and you’ll be sent to the same instruction screen from which you can enter the experience. Once you’re in, use your phone camera to view and manipulate your chosen door in your space. When you’re ready to test out a different door, simply exit the augmented reality mode, reconfigure your choices and begin again!

Pro tip: Make sure you get up and move around to see what the doors look like from multiple angles. You can also pinch, drag and zoom to reposition the door on your screen.

A New Door Makes a Big Difference

Upgrading your doors isn't just about appearance; they have a huge impact on the functionality, energy efficiency and safety of your home. Here are three reasons why new doors make a big difference:

Style

Adding new doors to your home is a fantastic way to elevate and complement the interior and exterior style of your home. Make a statement with a bold color or match them to cabinetry and trim work to create a cohesive style within your home whether that’s transitional, traditional, Craftsman or modern.

Functionality

Beyond style, doors offer a wide range of practical benefits. For instance, our solid core interior doors dampen the transfer of noise between rooms and stand up to life’s many bumps and bruises. Our barn door kits help save space in tight areas, and doors with glass help brighten up poorly lit areas of your home with natural light.

Enhanced Performance — and Security

Your exterior doors are what separate your home from the outside world. It’s important that they’re able to keep out bad weather, pesky drafts and unwanted visitors. Our Masonite® Performance Door System is an ideal solution. It’s a fiberglass door with a rot-resistant frame and advanced seal that keeps the outside out and helps maintain indoor temperatures. That means increased energy efficiency and potential dollars off your monthly energy bill.

This door system also comes with the option of adding the M-Protect™ Multi-Point Security Lock, which uses tapered bolts and three points of contact to make it 4x* stronger than a standard deadbolt lock. This helps keep your home safe from whatever might come knocking.
